  1. Make ready 6 Button mushrooms quartered
  2. Make ready 2 tablespoons Oil
  3. Make ready Cinnamon 1 inch piece
  4. Make ready Clove 4
  5. Take 1 teaspoon Fennel seeds (saunf)
  6. Make ready 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  7. Make ready Curry leaves 10
  8. Make ready 2 Green chilli
  9. Prepare 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  10. Make ready Onion pureed 2 medium
  11. Take Tomato pureed 1 medium
  12. Get 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  13. Make ready 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  14. Get to taste Salt
  15. Make ready coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons
  16. Get for rice:
  17. Make ready 1 1/2 cups Basmati Rice
  18. Make ready 2 teaspoons Cumin Seeds
  19. Take 1 1/2 tablespoons Ghee

Steps to make Rice and mashroom:
  1. In a kadai heat half tablespoon oil, saute the mushroom for a minute. Remove and set aside. In the same kadai add the remaining oil, add cinnamon stick, cloves, fennel seeds, cumin seeds and curry leaves. Saute for a minute.
  2. Add green chillies, ginger garlic paste and onion paste. Mix well. Cook for five minutes on low heat. Add tomato puree, red chilli powder, and garam masala. Mix well. Add little water and salt. Allow the mixture to boil. Add the mushrooms and coriander leaves. Mix well and cook till mushrooms are soft.
  3. For rice:
  4. Wash rice thoroughly and soak in water for half an hour. Drain.
  5. Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cardamom and cinnamon.When cumin seeds crackle, add the rice. Add salt to taste.
  6. Stir till ghee coats every grain of rice and it looks glossy. Add three cups of water. Bring to a boil. Stir once. Reduce heat to minimum and cover the pan with a lid.
  7. Serve mashroom and chawal granish onion and green chutny
