  1. Prepare TEMPE:

  3. Take All-purpose flour
  4. Make ready Rice flour

  7. Get Salt pepper
  8. Get Cooking oil
  9. Get SAMBAL MATAH:
  10. Get 5 bird chilles
  11. Take 5 red chillies
  12. Take 5 shallots
  13. Make ready 2 lemongrass (white part inside)
  14. Get 4 kaffir lime leaves
  15. Prepare 1 lime (juice)
  16. Make ready 1-2 tbsp oil (coconut /vegetable oil)

Instructions to make Tempe Sambal Matah:
  1. Cut tempe into thin slice (around 1 cm thickness)
  2. Ratio of water:all-purpose flour:rice flour is 4:2:1
  3. Combine flour, garlic powder, salt, pepper and water until batter is form.
  4. Dip tempe into the batter and drop into hot oil until golden brown. Put aside.
  5. Slice thinly all the sambal matah ingredients and press down the chillies mixture with spoon.
  6. Heat the oil in a small frying pan over low heat.
  7. Pour and stir the hot oil into the chillies mixture. It's ready to serve.
