The ingredients needed to make Dry Curry (Rice Gratin or Doria Style):
  1. Get 250 grams Mixed ground beef and pork
  2. Get 1 small Onion
  3. Prepare 1/2 Carrot
  4. Get 1 clove Garlic
  5. Prepare 1 Bay leaf
  6. Prepare 1 tbsp Olive oil
  7. Take 300 ml ★ Water
  8. Get 1 tsp ★ Soup stock granules
  9. Take 2 tsp ★ Curry powder
  10. Get 2 pinch ★ Salt
  11. Prepare 1 tbsp Ketchup
  12. Take 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  13. Prepare 360 grams Plain cooked rice
  14. Get 100 ml Pizza cheese

Steps to make Dry Curry (Rice Gratin or Doria Style):
  1. Mince the onion and carrot.
  2. Mix the ★ ingredients together and set aside. In a separate bowl, mix the ♢ ingredients.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add a crushed garlic and bay leaf, and cook until aromatic. Add the minced vegetables from step 1 and continue to cook.
  4. When the onions are transparent, add the meat and cook until it changes colour. Break it up into small pieces as you cook.
  5. Add the ★ seasonings and bring the pan to a simmer for about 5 minutes. Add the ♢ seasonings and continue to simmer.
  6. After about 10 minutes, when the liquid has evaporated, it's finished. Serve as is, or over rice for a delicious meal. Here I am going to make it into a doria.
  7. On a bed of rice in a gratin (or other heat resistant) plate, layer the dry curry, and top with the pizza cheese.
  8. The picture in the last step shows a doria made with 2 rice cooker cups of rice.
  9. Put the dish in a toaster oven for 5-10 minutes. When the top has browned, it's done. Serve piping hot.
  10. Serve into individual portions and dig in!!
  11. You can also layer the doria ingredients into individual servings and toast them.
