Instructions to make Wagashi "Komug-Manju" Ume (Plum flower):
  1. Ingredients for 6 pieces.
  2. Utensils
  3. Pour the sugar into the water.
  4. Dissolve the sugar well.
  5. Mix the flour and the baking powder.
  6. Put them into the mixture(sugar + water). Mix them.
  7. Stretch and fold the dough several times. Pull it together. *Stop mixing the flour into the water mixture when the dough becomes like "squeezing an earlobe". *Add a little more flour when the dough is too sticky.
  8. Divide the dough into 6.
  9. Wrap the bean paste balls with the dough. Make them round. (Put dusting flour on your hands.)
  10. Make paints. Green: Mix Matcha, plain flour & water. Red: Mix res food coloring, plain flour & water.
  11. Paint plum flowers and branches with the paints.
  12. Put them in a steamer. Spray Water.
  13. Steam 10minuite over high heat.
  14. Cool them with covering cotton cloth. It's finished!
