  1. Take 250 gms Cluster beans
  2. Get 1/2 coconut shredded
  3. Prepare 1 onion chopped
  4. Make ready 2 Green chillies cut lengthwise
  5. Take 1 tsp mustard seeds
  6. Prepare 1 tsp cumin seeds
  7. Take 1 tsp urud dal
  8. Make ready 2 dry red chillies
  9. Get Handful curry leaves
  10. Get as required Water
  11. Prepare as required Salt
  12. Make ready as required Oil
  13. Get 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  14. Prepare 2 shallots cut round

Instructions to make Cluster beans coconut stir fry /Gawar ki sabji/ kothamara thoran:
  1. Wash and chop the cluster beans to small pieces and boil it with little water, onion and salt. Do not add extra water. Just a little water is required. You can steam it instead or microwave it
  2. In a mixer grinder grind together the coconut shredded, turmeric powder and cumin.
  3. In a kadhai, heat oil and add the mustard seeds and urad Dal when the splutter.Add the cut shallots green chillies, red chillies and curry leaves. Wait for shallots to brown
  4. Now add the cooked cluster beans and fry for 2 - 3 minutes till water is completely gone.
  5. Add the ground coconut masala to it and fry again for few minutes. Check the salt and adjust accordingly.
