  3. Take 1 cup all purpose flour
  4. Prepare 1 tablespoon ginger and garlic powder
  5. Get 1 tablespoon seasoning and salt
  6. Prepare 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  7. Make ready 2 butter flavored shortening (or vegetable oil) for frying

Steps to make Crispy Fish:
  1. In a medium bowl combine the potato flakes, flour, garlic and ginger powder, seasoning, salt, Cayenne pepper
  2. Wash and properly clean fish, then cut as desired, then soak in a bowl of cold water
  3. In a deep fryer or steep pot, melt and heat the shortening (or vegetable oil)
  4. Dredge fish 1 piece at a time in the dry mixture and fry in the hot oil for 5minutes
  5. Remove from oil and place unto some paper towels to absorb excess oil
  6. Serve warm
